I have nearly 20 years of experience in social work. I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. From child welfare and equal rights activism to mental health counseling and navigating health crises, my journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to advocating for and supporting those in need.

Hi, I’m Kelly lind.

I am a Licensed clinical social worker.

My Approach

A Holistic Healing

I spent my childhood growing up in Kentucky and for the past 11 years, I have called Idaho home. I have come to appreciate the profound impact that our environment has on our overall health and well-being. The mountains, with their beauty and resilience, have taught me valuable lessons about strength, adaptability, and the importance of grounding ourselves in nature. Whether I’m camping with my family, running the mountain trails, or tending to my backyard garden, these experiences remind me of the healing power of connection—both to ourselves and to the world around us.

As a compassionate and active listener, I bring a grounded and holistic perspective to my practice. I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to gently guide you toward a deeper understanding of yourself. By integrating evidence-based theories, I will help you explore your unique strengths, challenges, and goals.

Specializations in Burnout, Lack of Motivation, and Life Overwhelm

I have a particular focus on supporting individuals struggling with burnout, lack of motivation, major life challenges, and stages of life transitions. These experiences can be overwhelming, but with the right tools and support, healing and growth are possible. Through a combination of therapeutic techniques and a collaborative approach, we will work together to:

  • Manage Overwhelm and Anxiety: Develop coping strategies to reduce symptoms and regain a sense of control.

  • Navigate Burnout and Depression: Explore practical tools to improve mood, build resilience, and find hope and joy.

  • Heal through Life’s Transitions and Major Challenges: Utilize somatic healing and mindfulness practices to process and release past experiences, fostering a sense of safety and empowerment.

Realistic Tools and Solutions

Drawing from my diverse background in social work and activism, I am dedicated to providing you with practical, realistic tools that you can apply in your daily life. The tools I provide are rooted in the following evidence-based theories.

  • Person-in-Environment: focuses on how social, economic, and environmental factors influence behavior and well-being. I use this theory to assess individual needs holistically, considering special contexts such as family, work, community, and local and national policies.

  • Holism: focuses on the achievement of well-being through balance across all life domains, addressing root causes of distress through the integration of mind-body-spirit. This theory is integrated throughout my practice to individualize goals and interventions to achieve balance in overall well-being.

  • Adlerian Therapy: focuses on individuals' unique goals, strengths, and social contexts. I often reach for this theory as a driver for empowerment, as it challenges maladaptive beliefs by helping to reframe negative thoughts and to promote social connectedness.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): is a theory that teaches practical skills to increase distress tolerance, assist with emotion regulation, bolster interpersonal effectiveness, and ground through mindfulness. This theory is key in an individual’s ability to obtain practical skills that will immediately help relieve symptoms of distress. I have received positive feedback from past clients who have diligently worked to incorporate these skills into their lives.

  • Mindfulness: promotes present-moment awareness without judgement. Mindfulness helps to reduce stress and reactivity, in addition to enhancing self-regulation and emotional resilience. I find that when an individual is open to mindfulness practices, it enhances her ability to manage distress, burnout, overwhelm, and life challenges. I often encourage clients to practice mindfulness with me in sessions and/or through various different practices within their home environment.

  • Somatic Healing: addresses the mind-body connection, directing attention to the body's physical manifestation of trauma and stress. This theory supports the belief that trauma and stress are stored within the body and provides techniques to release physical tension, which leads to deep and holistic healing.

Together, we will navigate your journey toward self-healing, empowerment, and growth. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a deep respect for your individuality.
